MKE Week 28 How Do You Talk To Yourself?

What you say to yourself in tough times and in good times is important.  Your self talk has a big effect on your life. Would you like to see some big changes in your overall attitude?  Do you think you are a positive person or do you spend time talking negative about yourself?  Let’s spend a few minutes looking at a simple process to become aware and change some of our thinking.2015-03-13_1341 Your thinking effects everything.

Start by observing yourself.  I recommend the 7 day mental diet as a good place to start to observe your own thinking.  James Allen, in his book, As A Man Thinketh says “The mind is the master weaver, both of the inner garment of character and the outer garment of circumstance”.  Your thoughts have the power to determine how you see yourself, other people, and the world.

From my own personal experience, I can say, for years my thinking was negative about myself and others.  It has taken great effort for me to work on my own thinking.  The 7 day mental diet was a huge challenge to me.  As several of us worked together to help each other, like a team sport, we worked to overcome the negative self talk and thinking.  Allen says “As the physically weak man can make himself strong by careful and patient training, so the man of weak thoughts can make them strong by exercising himself in right thinking”.

I continue to challenge myself to right thinking.  Awareness is the key to making the changes needed for peace of mind and positive thinking.

MKE Week 27 Little Things Matter

Simple actions, repeated over time, will determine the life you lead.  The little things that lead to success ar2014-12-18_1136e easy to do.  My Master Key Experience has taught me this very important principle.

Over the course of 6 months these 4 promises I made to myself:

1) Wherever I go I bring a gift.  I may bring a compliment, prayer, trinket, flower but I promise I will give something to every person I encounter.

2) I promise to be a grateful receiver of the gifts that surround me, noticing nature, kindnesses, smiles and compliments, which I gladly receive with a “thank you”.

3) I promise to give the hope for joy, affluence, kindness and love, consciously with every encounter, regardless of the brevity.

4) I promise to give without expectation of reciprocity from the channels I enrich because I know I am in the dynamic flow of giving and receiving.

These simple actions repeated over the last 8 months have brought me joy, peace, happiness, contentment, and new purpose.  I enjoy repeating these promises to myself and watching the outcome of the simple words as they play out in my life each day.

During my MKE, I took action on a project that I have longed to do for about the last 4 years.  I 2014-10-20_2008wanted to build a house for a family that has special needs. (wheelchair ready)  I felt the calling but thought I could not do it, didn’t have the resources and was scared of the process.  Now thru little steps that took about 5 months to complete, I am on my way. The Foundation goes in this week and it is all up from there.  I am so excited to watch this process, and so honored to be doing something of value for a family in need.

I highly recommend the Master Key Experience for people who want something more out of life.  “You can be what you will to be”  Simple positive actions taken over time add up to a wonderful life.


Week 22 A Control Our Thoughts


It seems as though each day in my life there is a reason to control my thoughts.  For me this can be a struggle especially when I see injustices happening to children in our family.  So each day I use the seven laws of the mind to control and redirect my thoughts.  I will share these laws with you, knowing how much they have helped me keep my balance and remain in peace.


We cannot think about 2 things at the same time.  If a negative thought enters your mind – try to think about higher power or God instead.  If that is too big a reach at the time, use any fond memory or other pleasant thought.  The Master Teacher said, “resist not evil” meaning don’t resist it but instead turn from it and think about something else instead.


Mental effort defeats itself-It’s the exact opposite of physical effort. A relaxed calm state of mind is the only doorway to mental progress.  Relaxation of thought is the only access to infinite intelligence.


Practice makes perfect.  The 5 Ps- Perfect Practice Prevents Poor Performance.  Our bewilderment of Magnificence in others, upon further inspection we find is really just practice.  With practice of the correct things, we improve on the other 6 laws of the mind.


To access the Divine and connect the subconscious to the Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent Creator we must forgive everyone and anyone to clear the channel.  There can be no connection to the Divine mind where anger or resentment against a brother or sister justified or not, exists.

Thought is a combination of ideation and feeling.  We can attach any feeling to a thought we want.


As soon as the subconscious accepts an idea it becomes a demand and it works constantly, 24-7 to manifest that demand-accessing a reservoir of infinite resources.


Whatever we think about grows.  What we forget atrophies.

As I have leveraged  these Seven Laws of the Mind, I have found a renewed purpose in life, and a profound peace.
