MKE Week 28 How Do You Talk To Yourself?

What you say to yourself in tough times and in good times is important.  Your self talk has a big effect on your life. Would you like to see some big changes in your overall attitude?  Do you think you are a positive person or do you spend time talking negative about yourself?  Let’s spend a few minutes looking at a simple process to become aware and change some of our thinking.2015-03-13_1341 Your thinking effects everything.

Start by observing yourself.  I recommend the 7 day mental diet as a good place to start to observe your own thinking.  James Allen, in his book, As A Man Thinketh says “The mind is the master weaver, both of the inner garment of character and the outer garment of circumstance”.  Your thoughts have the power to determine how you see yourself, other people, and the world.

From my own personal experience, I can say, for years my thinking was negative about myself and others.  It has taken great effort for me to work on my own thinking.  The 7 day mental diet was a huge challenge to me.  As several of us worked together to help each other, like a team sport, we worked to overcome the negative self talk and thinking.  Allen says “As the physically weak man can make himself strong by careful and patient training, so the man of weak thoughts can make them strong by exercising himself in right thinking”.

I continue to challenge myself to right thinking.  Awareness is the key to making the changes needed for peace of mind and positive thinking.

MKE Week 27 Little Things Matter

Simple actions, repeated over time, will determine the life you lead.  The little things that lead to success ar2014-12-18_1136e easy to do.  My Master Key Experience has taught me this very important principle.

Over the course of 6 months these 4 promises I made to myself:

1) Wherever I go I bring a gift.  I may bring a compliment, prayer, trinket, flower but I promise I will give something to every person I encounter.

2) I promise to be a grateful receiver of the gifts that surround me, noticing nature, kindnesses, smiles and compliments, which I gladly receive with a “thank you”.

3) I promise to give the hope for joy, affluence, kindness and love, consciously with every encounter, regardless of the brevity.

4) I promise to give without expectation of reciprocity from the channels I enrich because I know I am in the dynamic flow of giving and receiving.

These simple actions repeated over the last 8 months have brought me joy, peace, happiness, contentment, and new purpose.  I enjoy repeating these promises to myself and watching the outcome of the simple words as they play out in my life each day.

During my MKE, I took action on a project that I have longed to do for about the last 4 years.  I 2014-10-20_2008wanted to build a house for a family that has special needs. (wheelchair ready)  I felt the calling but thought I could not do it, didn’t have the resources and was scared of the process.  Now thru little steps that took about 5 months to complete, I am on my way. The Foundation goes in this week and it is all up from there.  I am so excited to watch this process, and so honored to be doing something of value for a family in need.

I highly recommend the Master Key Experience for people who want something more out of life.  “You can be what you will to be”  Simple positive actions taken over time add up to a wonderful life.


MKE Week 26 My Three Pillars Of Growth

There are 3 supporting concepts to the law of growth.  Defined; the Law of Growth is whatever we think about grows.  What we forget atrophies.  

My personal challenge has been in the role of acceptance.  To continue to grow I read and think about the law of least effort acceptance.  Before the Master Key experience I did not realize how much I had been struggling against the different circumstances surrounding me. 2014-12-18_1136Now I daily use the information we are given in the course to accept people, situations, circumstances and events as they occur, not as I wish they were.  There is peace in my heart I have not known in the past. as I use the law of acceptance.

The second concept I embrace daily is responsibility.  Having accepted things as they are I take responsibility for my situation and for all these events I see as problems.  I know every problem is an opportunity in disguise, and this alertness to opportunities allows me to take this moment and transform it into a greater benefit.  Before the course, I did not understand or look at problems as opportunities.  Now I embrace the problems and look for the greater good to come from them.

Thirdly, the law of least effort, defenselessness.  In the past I have had excellent reasons and supporting facts to defend my point of view.  This was a huge area for me to work on thru the course.  My daily reading here consists of:  Today my awareness will remain established in defenselessness.  I relinquish the need to defend my point of view.  I will feel no need to convince or persuade others to accept my point of view.  I remain open to all points of view and not be rigidly attached to anyone of them.  Being defenseless has been a big challenge for me, an area of growth that takes careful watchfulness thru out my day.

I have learned and applied the Master Key to my life.  Anyone reading this blog post may find many answers to their areas of needed growth.  There is nothing to loose and everything to gain by taking the course starting in September 2015.
