Week 14 Greatest Secret

The movie “Door 2 Door” has many life lessons. First Bill did not let his disability keep him from going after what he wanted to achieve. He loved people and had a very loving Mother who raised him as if he had no disability.

On one house call in the movie, Bill had scared a little boy by his appearance at the door of their home. That did not stop him from making another call on that same home to sell his product. Bill simply found a puppet that was cute and when the door was open to him he showed the puppet and asked to talk with the little boy’s Mother. Then when He showed his face the boy was not scared, his Mother was next to him.

Bill’s persistence (His greatest secret) produced an income for him and his Mother. When He was told “Not interested”, he continued to explain a product that was something that person could use. Bill observed the need of the individual and continued to present his product that filled that need.

Many things happened during Bill’s life that caused him great pain and loss, but he found a way around it and continued to sell products “Door 2 Door”.

Og states “I persist until I succeed. I do not allow yesterdays success to lull me into today’s complacency for this is the great foundation of failure. I forget the happenings of the day that is gone, whether they were good or bad and greet the new sun with confidence that this will be the best day of my life”.

Bill did succeed and lived a productive life loving and caring for his clients.

Week 13 A Healthy Idea

“We will get exactly what we give but shall have to give it first. It will then return to us many fold, and the giving is simply a mental process, because thoughts are causes and conditions are effects: therefore in giving thoughts of courage, inspiration, health or help of any kind we are setting causes in motion which will bring about their effect.” Haanel

Today I would like to encourage you, inspire you, set in motion a mental process. Bringing you healthy ideas.

This is a small piece of information that recently came across my desk regarding starches.

“The secret of unlocking resistant starches is to cool them down. Just pop them into the refrigerator cool to around 40 degrees after you cook them. The sudden temperature drop “shifts” the starch’s cellular structure from regular to resistant. And best of all, this trick works for all your favorite starchy dishes, including things like potatoes and pasta. Cook a delicious pot of pasta and pop it in the refrigerator for about an hour. Not only does it go great with a fresh salad, it doesn’t give you any of that after-pasta “sluggishness” and it’s excellent for your heart health. So give this “super-starch” trick a shot, it couldn’t be easier and you can’t beat the benefits. Don’t like cold pasta? You can always reheat the pasta after you cool it. According to Medical Daily cooking, cooling, then reheating the pasta actually leads to many of the same health benefits as cold pasta. So don’t be afraid to warm up those resistant starches just make sure it’s been in the refrigerator for at least an hour before you do.” Dr. Bereliani

My gift to you. Inspiration to try new ideas that help with your goal of excellent health.

Week 12 Money Grows

Japanese Proverb “Money Grows on the Tree of Persistence” With my MK course, the first two weeks of December we have been reading Og Mandino, The Greatest Salesman in the World. We are currently on Chapter 10, the scroll Marked III. “I will persist until I succeed.” I recognize that I am tested by life each day.

These first 2 weeks I have been tested just like the young bull in the fight arena. We have been in the process of selling the house that we had remodeled. Built in 1936, it needed much repair and remodeling. We started with a 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath house. We finished with a 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath with a small garage apartment in the rear. Since the garage was built originally on the lot line with a dirt floor, it could not be torn down and rebuilt on the same spot. We lifted the good parts,(roof and much of the siding) poured a foundation, put in a bathroom and call it a “Casita”.

My test came when we had a buyer that works for the Railroad. We build to city code and remodel to the same standard. Little did I know, until last week, that the Railroad has a different set of codes that they require. There were 12 items to be corrected and we went about making the adjustments. There were 2 items on the list that had us tearing up the house we so nicely remodeled. Since these two items were to city code, we simply documented the information and passed that information to the buyers.

This was the test. Those two items would blow the entire contract with our buyers. The Railroad requires certain repairs that exceed city code, that we were not aware of at the time. Here we are on closing day, Friday, scrambling to satisfy the Railroad. We finally understood the the Railroad guarantees their employees that the house can be resold in five years when they are transferred again to another assignment. We did close Friday and the two repairs will be done to Railroad standards.

Thru this process I was thankful to be reading my Og. Knowing that as I persist, success does come, we are tested each day like the young bull.

Week 11 Substance Of Things

This week Haanel asks us to complete this exercise. Concentrate on the quotation taken from the Bible, “Whatsoever things you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall have them”; notice that there is no limitation, “Whatsoever things” is very definite and implies that the only limitation which is placed upon us is in our ability to think, to be equal to the occasion, to rise to the emergency, to remember that Faith is not a shadow, but a substance, “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

As I have concentrated on this quote this week, I have come to realize that “whatsoever things I desire” (my vision board) and the Law of Growth are tied together to produce the things not seen. Whatever I think about grows. On my vision board are the things (substance of things hoped for) and will come to pass in the proper time. As my subconscious accepts the idea it becomes a demand and it works constantly 24-7 to manifest demand; accessing a reservoir of infinite resources.

The one thing that I add to this exercise is the Law of Dual Thought. Thought is a combination of ideas and feelings. I can attach any feeling to a thought I want. With both the vision board and the feelings attached to it, I create an unstoppable process of manifesting what i want.

Remember the feeling of first love?

Remember when you witness birth for the first time?

Remember when your child comes running to you with open arms, with love written all over her face?

I have used these natural feelings to emotionalize my vision and the whole process becomes electric for me.

Week Ten I Will Persist

“Master Key by which you are admitted into the Secret Place of the Most High and are “given dominion over all things.” With an understanding of this law you may “decree a thing and it shall be established unto thee.”

This week has been exciting for me. We found each other, the perfect match for the Mastermind, and it just happened. We could not have filled out applications to match us to this perfection. We both felt it the first call. We are keeping each other accountable each day since the first conversation. Our common goals are all about the Master Key and our individual callings. We support each other and encourage growth. Loving the process.

“Constructive thought must necessarily be creative, but creative thought must be harmonious, and this eliminates all destructive or competitive thought.”

Og Mandino gives us a new reading this month of December. The Third of the Wisdom of the Ancient Scrolls. “I will persist until I succeed.” “I will never consider defeat and I will remove from my vocabulary such words and phrases as QUIT, CANNOT, UNABLE, IMPOSSIBLE, OUT OF THE QUESTION, IMPROBABLE, FAILURE, UNWORKABLE, HOPELESS AND RETREAT; for they are words of fools.” Words are so powerful and I am watching carefully what words I use daily.

I am using the law of Substitution when I replace those negative words for these positive words, I am WHOLE, PERFECT, STRONG, POWERFUL, LOVING, HARMONIOUS, AND HAPPY.

Love and Peace,
Joan
