Week 8 Hate Nothing

My thoughts for week eight.

I see some good changes…the “Do it now” keeps me on task.

The one thing that jumped out at me this week has been the reading in Haanel. We are working on the Mental Diet and I had been hating the “bad”. You know the TV shows about murder etc, etc. When this came to my attention the TV went into silent mode. Turning off the TV has been my best gift to myself.

Back to Haanel…”We are to hate NOTHING, not even the “bad” because hatred is destructive and we shall soon find that by entertaining destructive thought we are sowing the “wind” and in turn shall reap the “whirlwind”.

Og says the same thing (I did not see it until week 8) “I never allow my mind to be attracted to evil and despair, rather I uplift it with the knowledge and wisdom of the ages. Henceforth I love all mankind. From this moment all hate is let from my veins for I have not time to hate, only time to love.

And one more time in our BPB writing…”I eliminate hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness, and cynicism, by developing love for all humanity because I know that a negative attitude toward others can never bring me success.

My Mental Diet has taken a turn for the better this week. I greet this day with love in my heart and I succeed.

Peace Love and Harmony

I have had many similar thoughts, Joan. With regard to the exercise of repeating “Do it now!” – I think that is the hardest thing in the world to procrastinate on! As soon as you think of the task, you just HAVE to do it! Keep up the great work!

    Hey Joan,
Enjoyed reading your post. I too am getting a lot out of the Second Scroll and Haanel’s readings. I’ve realized that a lot of things we’ve subjected ourselves to in the past have not been for our good. I believe that once you know better, you’ll do better.
