Week 14 Greatest Secret

The movie “Door 2 Door” has many life lessons. First Bill did not let his disability keep him from going after what he wanted to achieve. He loved people and had a very loving Mother who raised him as if he had no disability.

On one house call in the movie, Bill had scared a little boy by his appearance at the door of their home. That did not stop him from making another call on that same home to sell his product. Bill simply found a puppet that was cute and when the door was open to him he showed the puppet and asked to talk with the little boy’s Mother. Then when He showed his face the boy was not scared, his Mother was next to him.

Bill’s persistence (His greatest secret) produced an income for him and his Mother. When He was told “Not interested”, he continued to explain a product that was something that person could use. Bill observed the need of the individual and continued to present his product that filled that need.

Many things happened during Bill’s life that caused him great pain and loss, but he found a way around it and continued to sell products “Door 2 Door”.

Og states “I persist until I succeed. I do not allow yesterdays success to lull me into today’s complacency for this is the great foundation of failure. I forget the happenings of the day that is gone, whether they were good or bad and greet the new sun with confidence that this will be the best day of my life”.

Bill did succeed and lived a productive life loving and caring for his clients.
