A quote from Mandino “I greet this day with love in my heart, I look on all things with love, I love the sun for it warms my bones, yet I love the rain for it cleanses my spirit. I love the light for it shows me the way; yet I love the darkness for it shows me the stars. I welcome happiness for it enlarges my soul. I acknowledge rewards for they are my due; yet welcome obstacles for they are my challenge.”
The spice tin you see here is from some years back and it has had much use over time. It had been packed away for a awhile and when I discovered it I put it to use once again. Sprinkling my Grandkids with the LOVE spice. My Grandson ducked thinking it would pour out a substance on his head, but alas, all that is in the tin is LOVE. So we all had a good laugh.
I Cor 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind, It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude it is not self-seeking it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
What I find to be an important element of the tin is the writing on the side. Look carefully and you will see kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, goodness, joy, patience, peace, perseverance, protection, trust, truthfulness and unselfishness.
That is a true list of “love in action”. We could all sprinkle that over our heads daily and carry out the actions as it directs. Even when life brings on those challenges, and we all have them, we can keep in mind that there is lots of love in our wonderful world. If you feel a little depleted just reach out, someone will extend a hand and will show you the love you need to warm your bones.
Or you could come by here, I will sprinkle the LOVE spice over you and we can laugh together when you duck.
Sending you love, peace and harmony.
