MKE Week 2 Today I Begin A New Life

It is good to remind myself that each day I begin a new life, instead of just another day.  Each day I am able to make the day into something beautiful and something special.

When I think of a new life,  I think of our new adventure into our MKE study.  Today I can come into a better understanding of myself and others.  New interests emerge, and new thoughts create ideas that bring about change.

This week we were asked to observe Blue Rectangles and as I ponder the reason as to why we might gain some insights from observing blue rectangles,  I suddenly realized that I can also observe an undesirable habit and proceed to create a new habit that would better serve my purpose.

Do you see a connection?  It could be, Og goes on to say we can pluck grapes of wisdom from the ages to understand that we succeed by changing our habits to good habits.  So now we have connected good habits with observing the blue rectangles.

One of our exercises for this week was to write down something we need to do, a small thing taking little time, and then place a blue rectangle next to it on the index card.  Connecting the blue rectangle next to a new habit I want to acquire and giving it a date for completion.  Umm, Powerful.

Today I am a new woman with a new life.

MKE Week 1 Do You Know The Truth About Habits?

We have just begun a journey into new habits.  The Master Key Experience has commenced and will continue for 6 months.  We begin with the class readings, starting with Og Mandino’s The Greatest Salesman in the World.

In Scroll 1 we proceed with learning about success.  Og states ” the only difference between those who have failed and those who have succeeded lies in the difference of their habits. Good habits are the key to success.  Bad habits are the unlocked door to failure.  The First Law I obey, which precedes all others is I form good habits and become their slave. If I must be a slave to habit let me be a slave to good habits.  My bad habits must be destroyed and the new ground prepared for good seed.

Here is my challenge, I want to move from a habit of negative thought.  This is the habit I observed most recently.  I walk around saying to myself “I just don’t know what to do”.  It sounds crazy when I write it out for you. Yes, I do this to myself.

First, let’s say just observing this habit is a big thing.  And it is really a big thing for me.  So now I catch myself with the new habit of saying in my head.  “I know what to do and I am doing it now”.  The interesting thing that I have noticed is that I may not know what to do at that moment, but when I tell myself “I know what to do” the answer comes to me right away.

The truth about habits is they aren’t always noticeable.  It takes being observant and then a desire to change.  Then it takes work to replace them with a new habit.

It is so exciting to see the results of being, observant of myself and working on a new habit to replace the old habit that I would like to challenge you to do some observing of yourself. Have a check-up of your habits.  Notice if there are some habits you would like to change.  It’s worth the effort.

Week 3 Master Key Experience

It is always rewarding to see a SMART goal achieved.  Last year in the Master Key Experience the construction of this house was expressed as a goal for 2018.  The blueprint was drawn with a page for each system within the house.  Front elevation and each remaining exterior elevation to show each side of the house was included.  Plumbing has its own blueprint and also a separate electrical drawing.  Each workgroup had their specific detailed instructions.

The framed drawing was of all interior space and roof elevation.  All 2871 square feet of air-conditioned space, a  big project as you can see.  Included is a 3 car garage, front porch 140 sq ft, back patio 224 sq ft, and balcony 264 sq ft.

From the balcony, you can see downtown Fort Worth in the distance and remarkably the quiet pasture with grazing cattle behind the house.

The part I am most proud of is the interior space.  It is constructed so that someone in a wheelchair can navigate the entire first-floor space.  Entering from the front door, no step.  All doorways three foot wide and bathroom facilities accessible.  The upper floor is designed to be a flex room.

Over the 12 month project, there were challenges along the way, each one had a viable solution.  The Plan is the most important component of the entire project.  Peace Love Joy,

Joan

How To Be Happy

“In the process of letting go you will lose many things from the past, but you will find yourself it will be a permanent Self, rooted in awareness and creativity.  Once you have captured this, you have captured the world.” Deepak Chopra

My family is rooted in aviation.  I loved it.  My Dad was a pilot and sold aircraft supplies for a living.  He traveled often when I was a child, we lived in Orland Park, Ill. then. When he would return from a trip I always wanted to know what that place was like to visit.  I remember him telling me Texas was like a big sandbox with a few twigs sticking in the ground.   Travel always excited me and I wanted to go and see for myself.  It seemed so natural for me to be in aviation.  I took flying lessons and enjoyed every exciting moment.

That very naturally lead me to become a flight attendant.   (Stewardess)  I was hired on with a major carrier in 1965 when the Stewardesses wore hats,  white gloves, and very high heels.  For me, this was the very best career a woman could have at that time in history.  I loved the flying, the people I met, the big fluffy clouds that would sail past the jet windows and the huge thunderclouds that looked threatening even at 30,000 feet.  I enjoyed exploring the different cities both domestic and international that we visited.

Five years ago I left the career that I loved.  Today September 11, 2001, will always be in my thoughts even in retirement.  Many of my friends are still flying and I see them on occasion.  I mention this as it marks for us the importance of finding our bliss and connecting with others.

Now I have moved on to another call.  For the past two years, I have been taking a course the Master Key Experience and have found the world within, the world of thought and feeling and power that Haanel describes in his writings.  I am truly happy and empowered. If you are seeking change and happiness the MKE will deliver all that it promises.

We have a new class that starts on the 23rd of Sept.  Click on this link to learn more of what is offered.  Last year we provided a way for you to take this class on a scholarship.  It is the best thing I have done for myself.  This link will take you to the information you need to make an informed decision.    http://bit.ly/2wTN2v6

I am a compassionate helper, who is whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy.  Being rooted in awareness, I have captured the world.
