Week 25 The Advantages Of Meditation

From the first day in the Master Key adventure I began to meditate.

For a week I worked to secure full control of my physical being.  My favorite place to get quiet is in nature, so I chose the back porch. That proved to be somewhat of a challenge on the very cold days of winter but the sunshine made it bearable and snuggled up under a warm blanket made it just right.  There on the porch, I would sit for 30 minutes.

The second week I was to inhibit all thought.  This gave me control over all thoughts of care, worry and fear, and enables me to entertain only the kind of thoughts I desire.  For me this started out slowly as there were many thoughts and I worked at clearing the mind every few minutes.  As the week progressed, I did gain control enough to see improvement.  Each week gave me more confidence that meditation would work as I persisted.

I am now in week 25 of this process and I can say with a certainty that meditation is a wonderful place of peace and happiness.  I have experienced reduced stress, a greater self awareness, and I have an increase of compassion for those around me.

My family experiences the “new me”.  My friends look at me and seem to be thinking, “what’s changed”?

There have been other changes that I have noticed;  increased focus and mindfulness of all that is around me.  It’s like seeing everything in 3D for the first time.

Week 24 Think Out Of The Box App

 

Introducing a new App thru the Master Key.  It is a new way to think out of the Box.

What interested me about this line of thinking was the connection to my past, watching my Mother draw and use special tactics.  My Mother was an artist and had worked in oils and pastels. She did scenery and portraits.  You could see her progress as she became better at the portraits. Completing all eight of her Grandchildren in pastels.  One of her “tricks” was to turn the picture upside down as she worked from photos. “Out of the Box” thinking like our new app.  This way of working gave her a special advantage in portraying the character of her subject.  You could see this clearly in the pictures of my twin nephews.  So close in looks that I could hardly tell them apart.  My Mother knew by the slight difference in the shape of their faces which, she saw clearly as an artist.

So here we are week 24 being introduced to a new App.  A new way of doing, which created a new way of thinking.  The question was asked of us…What animal would you be if you were an animal?  Write it out with your dominate hand.  Mine was a dog, but the interesting part was when asked the question again this time write using my non dominate hand.   A new answer emerged….barely able to write it out.  I was a Zebra.

Now it is your turn.  Try that exercise t2015-03-25_1607o see what animal is on your dominate side and what animal is on your non dominate side.  Then try brushing your teeth with your non dominate side. That was fun!!! Then pose some questions that you would like to answer.  Using your non dominate hand write out several answers to your own questions.  This is a way to get some really amazing answers and look at things entirely different.

Week 20 Inspired

 

Quoting Haanel;

To become inspired means to get out of the

beaten path,

out of the rut,

because extraordinary results require extraordinary means.  

When we come into a recognition of the Unity of all things and

that the source of all power is within,

we tap the source of inspiration.

Inspiration is the art of self-realization;

the art of adjusting the individual mind to that of the Universal Mind; the art of attaching the

proper mechanism to the source of all power.

Inspiration comes from the Universal Mind, the source of all power.  But to become inspired is to look within and bring forth thoughts that create an ideal.  One ideal is, I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious, and happy.  Bringing these words into conciousness is to proclaim them for ourselves.  Inspired words with extraordinary results when used I regularly.

Through this class with the Master Key I am learning to proclaim my uniqueness and master the skills needed to become a confident observer of my own behavior.  As I begin to emerge I see myself as a new person,

not judging, not criticizing myself or others,

I become whole and in harmony with the Universal Mind.
