Week 3 Control Our Thoughts

 

“Harmony in the world within means the ability to control our thoughts, and to determine for ourselves how any experience is to affect us.” A quote from the Master Keys class that I am now taking.

As we continue with our studies, I am keenly aware of the need to control my thoughts. When I am in an emotional state, upset because life has been unkind or unfair, I find it difficult to turn off the thoughts that consume me. I find those thoughts that keep me agitated not only effect me emotionally but physically too.

A couple of years ago right at Christmas time I experienced chest pains. We all know that is not a good thing. For me it was an early warning to get myself pulled back together and pay attention to what my body needs for better health. I was offered a class from the Hospital to better care for myself, and there it was….Meditation and exercise. Meditation, or controlling our thoughts was a large part of the Hospital class.

In the Master Key class we are learning skills to help us understand the importance of needing control to gain harmony of the world within. I plan to pay close attention in class and make the changes that will bring me into a peaceful place. To put into practice the exercises I am learning.

I highly recommend a book that I have read “The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself” by Michael A Singer. In his book Michael takes you on a journey through the chapters, to show you there will be no more confusion, no more lack of empowerment and no more blaming others. You have the ability to find yourself and you have the ability to free yourself. You will know exactly what must be done, if you so choose.

Week 23 Reaching The Place Of Acceptance

 

Just a quick comment*****  I have been dog sitting for the last two years….and she loves to see me sit down at the computer to do my Blog.  For her that signals that it is “play time”… and for me it is time to think, not play.  I admit that she is so good and fun to have around.  Even meditates with me quietly, and content to do so.20141214_114645

I am reaching the place of acceptance with her and her ways of asking for attention at inconvenient times.

This week has been interesting learning new concepts.  The Law of Least Effort, By Chopra.

I practice acceptance.  Today I accept people, situations, circumstances, and events as they occur, I know that this moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be. I won’t struggle against the whole universe by struggling against this moment. My acceptance is total and complete.  I accept things as they are in this moment, not as I wish they were.

This is where the moment came for me….I suddenly realized the concept of my struggle is with the whole universe.  The Master Key class on Sunday was at the perfect moment giving me what I needed to come to this place of acceptance.

On Saturday, a certain someone decided not to follow the custody orders, airline tickets purchased and sent, preparations made here for the arrival of my Grandchildren.  Big disappointment for everyone.

Surely these orders carry some penalty for not following them?

Coming to this place of acceptance took some time for me but I can say with assurance this struggle is with the whole universe.  Today I accept things as they are in this moment, not as I wish they were.

My Acceptance is Total and Complete

I can be what I will to be

Whole, Perfect, Strong, Powerful, Loving, Harmonious and Happy 

Week 22 A Control Our Thoughts

 

2015-03-12_1745HARMONY IN THE WORLD WITHIN MEANS THE ABILITY TO CONTROL OUR THOUGHTS, AND TO DETERMINE FOR OURSELVES HOW ANY EXPERIENCE IS TO AFFECT US. (HAANEL)

It seems as though each day in my life there is a reason to control my thoughts.  For me this can be a struggle especially when I see injustices happening to children in our family.  So each day I use the seven laws of the mind to control and redirect my thoughts.  I will share these laws with you, knowing how much they have helped me keep my balance and remain in peace.

LAW OF SUBSTITUTION

We cannot think about 2 things at the same time.  If a negative thought enters your mind – try to think about higher power or God instead.  If that is too big a reach at the time, use any fond memory or other pleasant thought.  The Master Teacher said, “resist not evil” meaning don’t resist it but instead turn from it and think about something else instead.

LAW OF RELAXATION

Mental effort defeats itself-It’s the exact opposite of physical effort. A relaxed calm state of mind is the only doorway to mental progress.  Relaxation of thought is the only access to infinite intelligence.

LAW OF PRACTICE

Practice makes perfect.  The 5 Ps- Perfect Practice Prevents Poor Performance.  Our bewilderment of Magnificence in others, upon further inspection we find is really just practice.  With practice of the correct things, we improve on the other 6 laws of the mind.

LAW OF FORGIVENESS

To access the Divine and connect the subconscious to the Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent Creator we must forgive everyone and anyone to clear the channel.  There can be no connection to the Divine mind where anger or resentment against a brother or sister justified or not, exists.

Thought is a combination of ideation and feeling.  We can attach any feeling to a thought we want.

LAW OF SUBCONSCIOUS

As soon as the subconscious accepts an idea it becomes a demand and it works constantly, 24-7 to manifest that demand-accessing a reservoir of infinite resources.

THE LAW OF GROWTH

Whatever we think about grows.  What we forget atrophies.

As I have leveraged  these Seven Laws of the Mind, I have found a renewed purpose in life, and a profound peace.

May these laws assist you in finding your peace.

 

Week 11 Life Is a Journey

 

As we journey thru life together there are many twists and turns.  We never know how close success lies unless we turn the corner.  I do not know what it is that causes you to feel success, but for me it is working thru the times that I have failed completely.  Picking myself up again and again.  It is thru the failure that success comes for me.

This is the reason to keep working toward a life purpose.  Success is in the doing, the growing into that person we are intended to be by our creator.  Being the positive person I was intended to be shows others they can do it too.  My old blueprint was very negative and thanks to a wonderful couple, I am creating a new blueprint for my life.  This has been one of those twists for me and I am so thankful.

I am currently reading a book by Mark Batterson titled Draw the Circle.  In this chapter today he talks about how thru our words we have the power, to cultivate potential in others. To celebrate what we want to see more of in that other person.  Our words have the potential to change lives by helping others discover their identity.  This small book about the 40 Day Prayer Challenge fits completely with what we are learning in the Master Key.  Our thoughts, our words, our actions bring us thru as we remain steady and persistent for the good.

The person I intend to be:       There is a thought process by which one never has to struggle with conscience because they always act correctly, and  never conduct themselves otherwise than with tact, learn everything easily, complete everything they begin with a happy knack, live in eternal harmony with themselves, and without ever reflecting much on what they do, or ever experiencing difficulty or toil.

I can be what I will to be.

Week 10 Harmonious Conditions

 

Reading in #Hannel this week we are reminded of how we must exercise to develop power. Power is built with constructive thought.  Creative thought must be harmonious and this eliminates all destructive thought.

We must control our thoughts to bring them into harmony with our natural laws.  Thought will correlate with its object and bring it into manifestation, because thought is a product of the spiritual man, and spirit is the creative Principle of the Universe.

On a day to day level, this takes practice….where can I become a better thinker to create the harmony in my life I so desire?  Since I create my conditions I have control over how this develops.

With continuous practice I am able to create and manifest the power of cause and effect.  Thru my affirmations and the practice of becoming non-judgemental I see some progress.  Working on being a good observer and listener to what is around me and in my thoughts.

Continuing with the 7 day mental diet brings greater awareness and good progress.  When I console myself with explanations and excuses, I realize I am only in self-defence mode.

It is becoming clearer each day as to the necessary changes I am making to become harmonious.

I can be what I will to be.  Whole, perfect, strong, #powerful, loving, #harmonious, and happy.
